It will enable you to recognise just how much wisdom and experience you’ve already gained from life so far.  You’ve had a lifetime of experience and the accumulation of all that wisdom shouldn’t go to waste.  It is invaluable to you, those in your life and in the wider world.

Not only will the skilful exercises in The Visible Woman give much room for thought and can be done time and time gain, they also challenge you to see if you feel you are a confident and mature woman still growing and learning or someone who feels middle-aged and miserable.

The Visible Woman offers real life stories to inspire you and give that nudge to get off the sidelines and be proud of the wisdom and life experience you have to offer.

Today is International Very Good Looking, Damn Smart Woman’s Day, so please send this message to someone you think fits this description.  Please do not send it back to me as I have already received it from a Very Good Looking, Damn Smart Woman!  And remember this motto to live by: Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, totally worn out and screaming ‘WOOO HOOOOO what a ride!’

Someone is certainly being visible!  What a way to go!

So it could be useful to reflect on what you associate with, or what (to you) might express the idea of “the spiritual garment”. 

I find it quite fascinating as it is still in line with how we make ourselves visible in the world.

I’m so proud he has been chosen in the age category to be a member of the Great Britain team.  There is such team spirit amongst them and us supporting them.  They also have a wise woman as their team leader.

Once again, I will be waving the flag for my son, the team and everybody – being visible again.  There’s no stopping me even if the weather is to be awful.

Whatever your weather, have a great weekend by taking your courage and doing something different – have fun.

  My son, with hundreds of other men and women, is competing in a duathlon this Easter Monday. I am so proud of him and all those taking part, ranging from teenagers to seventy year olds.  They are all inspiring and I will be there to yell, shout, clap and cheer them all on.  They are making themselves visible to the world – getting the most out of life.

I hope you will also make yourself visible this Easter and cheer and clap yourself on in whatever you decide to do.  Have a good one.

CLEANING POEM

I asked the Lord to tell me why my house is such a mess

He asked if I’d been “computering” and I had to answer “Yes”.

He told me to get off my butt, and tidy up the house.

And so I started cleaning up – the smudges off my mouse.

I wiped and shined the topside.  That really did the trick

I was just admiring my good work, I didn’t mean to “click”.

But click, I did, and oops – I found a real absorbing site

That I got Sooo way into it – I was into it all night.

So nothing’s changed except my mouse, It’s as shiny as the sun.

I guess my house will stay a mess, while I sit here on my bum!

Each of our gifts are precious, needed, to be shared and enjoyed by the world.

So three cheers to you who are actively involved in your life, being visible and not sitting on the fence waiting for life to happen.

This is for all those women who feel or have felt invisible.  Right now you may be asking – “What’s happened to that woman I used to know?  Where did I go?  When did I become invisible to myself and others?”

Many of us have had the experience of being taken over by our families, our houses, our jobs and our lives.  Life can at times invite us (e.g. through loss or illness) to become invisible.

Stories are an important part of The Call of the Wise Woman.  You can find or enhance your voice through participating in the workshops I run.  I have found that the sharing of personal stories and experiences draw we women together.  It is the trusting, taking one step at a time (or a big leap) that can lead YOU to know that YOU can be comfortable in your own skin and, therefore, no longer invisible.

Your intuition connects you with the voice of the Wise Woman and it’s not some airy-fairy thing but is actually very down to earth.  It is that call, that still place inside that gives you your inner truth, your inner voice.  From here, you are tuning in to eons of inner knowing and experience.  There is a deep well for us all to draw upon.
